‘[...] music is the only language which the whole world understands.‘
Frankfurt based Falscher Hase blends Techhouse with everything up to Deephouse creating a signature style that inspires. Listen to his music and find out why he keeps us moving...

Who are you?
Falscher Hase:
My name is Patrick and I live in Frankfurt.
What is the background/ story of your alias ‘Falscher Hase‘?
Falscher Hase:
To be honest, there is no story. About 4 years ago I made a mix that I named ‘Aufgetischt‘ (engl.: dished up) and somehow ‘Falscher Hase‘ popped up in my head at that moment since it is a known dish in Germany. Apart from that, I anyway like both German and unconventional artist names. However, I haven‘t been using my alias actively until 1 1/2 years ago.
When did you start your career and what fascinates you about mixing and creating music?
Falscher Hase:
I started with Hip-Hop in 2004 and shifted to electronic music in 2006. But we certainly can‘t speak of a career since mixing is only a hobby and will definitely stay one. With my mix ‘Lebenslänglich‘ in late 2011, and the sets released shortly after, everything seemed to really kick off. Before that nobody really knew me except my friends. And this is exactly the point where music has its fascination: music is the only language which the whole world understands. I enjoy to inspire people with what inspires myself and I am pretty fascinated by the scope of listeners my sets have reached so far. Both Internet and music turn today‘s vast world into a global village.
Is there a concept and/ or red thread behind ‘Lebenslänglich‘, ‘Nachwuchskräfte‘ and ‘Gruppentherapie‘?
Falscher Hase:
The sets are all based on different concepts, but certainly follow the same red thread: beautiful, emotional music that goes into your heart. ‘Lebenslänglich‘ was meant to be a personal 2011 retrospect. ‘Nachwuchskräfte‘ is an acknowledgement dedicated to regional artists for their inspirational tracks and an appeal to stop focussing only on the big names in the music scene. ‘Gruppentherapie‘ is a further acknowledgement, but in this case addressed to my loyal fans, who contributed to this set by suggesting tracks that formed the compilation.
How would you describe your personal, lyrical style?
Falscher Hase:
I once read the term ‘breakup-house‘ which I find pretty suitable. In the past, couples spent the day in bed while listening to the latest ‘Kuschelrock‘-CD; today, they do so with Falscher Hase. But this sort of sound is rather meant for home. In the club it can definitely scale up. Eventually, there is always depth to my sets instead of music reduced to mere ‘utz‘- sounds as so often produced by people.
What can we expect from you in the future?
Falscher Hase:
T-shirts, caps, cups, bedding, beauty products....but to begin with music, music, music!
What do you like about SIMON&ME?
Falscher Hase:
Your designs, your style and your connection to skateboarding! And, of course, my new t-shirt!
What are your plans for Easter?
Falscher Hase:
Chilling, family, food. And at request of myself we will have ‘falscher Hase‘.
Beer or ‘Ebbelwoi‘?
Falscher Hase:
No Frankfurter is allowed to read this line, but only beer since the World Cup in 2002.
